Jun	Survey Week - Meadow Mooch, Godalming Come and help Surrey Wildlife Trust and Waverley Borough Council survey this attractive area, from 10am till 3pm. We will survey for botanical interest in the morning (10 am till 12 ) then have a break for lunch and survey for invertebrates in the afternoon (1-3). Come for the morning or the afternoon or both.

Jun	Survey week - Churchyard Critters, Byfleet Come along 3.30 - 5.30pm to St Mary's Church and discover what bugs live in the churchyard. This event is aimed primarily at families and children but is open to all.

Get involved with the Surrey Greenspace Project team and help make your community in Merstham, Guildford, or Woking, one of the most hands-on, green-fingered and proud communities in Surrey! Whether it’s practical conservation skills, wildlife walks or children's environmental activities, we have events for you!

Help us turn our sites into a wildlife haven with better access for all, providing nature trails, guided walks and outdoor community events. Learn new skills by volunteering on path-building days, woodland and wetland management, heathland restoration and other conservation tasks.

If you have any ideas about how your greenspace could be improved to benefit both wildlife and the local community, let us know and get stuck in!

	Arson Prevention - 2nd Guildford Scout Troop The Worplesdon Group of Commons can be subject to damage due to uncontrolled fires often started deliberately through arson attacks. This is of particular concern in the dry summer months. In the summer of 2009, 2nd Guildford Scout Troop undertook some practical work to help prevent damage on Stringers Common. 	Tree O Clock As part of National Tree Week and the BBC’s Breathing Places Tree O'Clock event, Surrey Greenspace Project joined Portland House, Ravens Housing Trust and people around the world to plant trees between 11 am and 12 noon on Saturday 5 December 2009. There was a Guinness world record to bet too! This world record is for trees planted by hand, by any number of people, in multiple locations, within a single hour. Click here for more info
